Keramat Pulai Industrial Area , is also well known as a quarry industrial park, has a total area of 723.52 acres (292.92 hectares). With limestone hills and rock outcrops abound in the region, the industrial estate is the centre surrounded by quarry, rock products and their downstream or related industries. At present, there are 10 factories producing limestone products in this industrial area which inclusive of a Taiwanese-owned marble's factory and a French set-up in manufacturing calcium carbonate powder.

The creation of quarry industrial park brings together to one area, the primary activities of rock quarrying with secondary, or downstream activities of rock processing into aggregates, quick-lime, calcium carbonate, marble slabs, floor tiles, for industries or ornamental uses is conceptually as a designated development zone.

The full progress of rock processing from quarrying to rock final products can be completed within the estate and without necessity of long distance haulage has spearhead this area become a high-value added industrial area in South East Asia region.

With the back-drop of an enormous, vast extend of limestone hills and outcrops, creating a geological research centre was proposed as geological museum for the vast collection of limestone specimen in Kinta Vally. A training centre for a career relating to skills in quarrying, rock cutting, rock exploitation and rock processing and a final products display centre are planned to set up in this area.
